This station is at the western corner of our track. After this we head south for a while before turning in towards the coast. During the "night" the engines died. I was in bed at the time. The ventilation shut off, and everything was strangely quiet; we're so used to constant noise out here. I felt the ship slow and settle crosswise to the waves, so that we were rolling nicely. It only lasted for a few minutes, and then we were back on our way. This far west it stays dark really late into the morning because we haven't changed our clocks from Chilean time. The sun probably rises at 8:00 am.
