Here it is, the last station of AAIW 2006. It doesn't look so very different from the first station. The rosette came out of the water around 8:20 am, so we actually had some time to spare.
Bernadette got up really early to help with the final stations. There wasn't much for her to do at this point, as the night watch worked like a well-oiled machine. Our watches were generally problem free. Right. On the left Scott watches for the rosette to surface. Then he can step back to chat it up with Dan and Bernadette. On the right David uses one of the Knorr's tuggers.
No cruise photo collection is complete without a few rosette glory pictures. I saved mine for the very last station. The yellow instrument hanging inside the rosette is the ADCP. The CTD rests on the four parallel bars that run across the bottom of the rosette.
Everyone was excited to get a chance to sample from the last cast. I let Parissa collect the last nutrient sample.
