Steaming: BBQ

We had a beautiful sunrise this morning and I was easily up to see it. I woke up at 2:00 am. The entire day was gorgeous and sunny. Everyone just walked around outside enjoying the sun. We did a fair bit of packing as well.

Today we unloaded the container and got all of the packing boxes out. The lab is a total mess. There are boxes everywhere. It's hard to imagine that all of the boxes can fit in the container, as well as two rosettes.

For dinner Karen cooked BBQ for everyone. It was nice change for me to be up at dinner time. They had a wood fire in a grill bolted on the back deck. Erik gave Karen some tips. He recently acquired a BBQ on a trailer from Spitts and Pitts. Back home, Erik cooks brisket for 18 hours, getting up every 1.5 hours to add firewood. That's commitment. Everyone was really smiley eating and sitting around on the back deck. Luis, David, and Lucian are in the first picture. In the second Mike and Al are standing at the table. We even had wine with dinner. Bernadette kept asking who had more wine, and for some reason bottles just kept magically appearing. It was really nice sitting around. Bernadette destroyed three forks; they weren't built up to her Aussie strength tolerances. The casulties are scattered on her plate. In the last picture, we have Heather, AD (the Captain), Kristin, Bernadette, and Karen. Lucian and Al (the steward) are sitting down. The Chief Engineer, Steve, is in the background.

Parisa threw a wine bottle in the ocean with a message for the fish (nothing). She thinks fish are gross.
