We finished packing and closed up the van today. At one point during the day Dan and I played cribbage outside. We dragged one of the crates out onto the deck and grabbed some deck chairs. Playing in the sun was great, but the wind was kind of a pain. We really had to keep ahold of our cards. We've gotten in lots of cribbage these last few days. At sunset there were lots of people out back to watch the moon rise for the first time in about a month. We only saw it a few times during the entire trip. It rose very quickly. There was an excellent green flash.
At twilight we wandered up to the flybridge and Mike showed us how to use a sextant. We helped him spot stars, and then after he had captured a few he showed us how to use the sextant. Pretty clever instrument.
