I have been a graduate student in the Physical Oceanography Curricular Group at Scripps Institution of Oceanography Since September 2001. I am enrolled in the Ph.D. program. My advisor is professor Sarah Gille ( Sarah's web site ).

Research Interests:

The title of my thesis proposal is "Spectral characterization of the Southern Ocean surface circulation from surface drifters". The goal is to link the characteristics of the surface flow of the Southern Ocean to the wind forcing. Another aspect of my research is the study of ocean currents polarizations their consequences for the global dynamics of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current.

Education:

My curriculum vitae is available in html or pdf format.

Conferences, Talks and Abstracts:

Do not hesitate to contact me if you want to comment on my posters or abstracts or if you are interested in my research.

Experiences at sea:

Classes material:

I attended the 2005 summer school on Lagrangian Oceanography at the Graduate School of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island, organized by Thomas Rossby and Andrew Bennett. Here is the link to the pictures.

Here is the presentation for the observational seminar about wind stress climatologies in pdf format: climatologies

During summer 2004, I organized with Guillaume Mauger the Climate and Physical Oceanography Students Summer Seminar Series.
