I am currently a postdoctoral Scholar in the Climate, Atmospheric Science and Physical Oceanography (CASPO) Section, working on research projects to study tropical Pacific dynamics by using in-situ measurements, numerical modeling and data assimilation under supervision of Dr. Dean Roemmich and Dr. Bruce Cornuelle. Before I joined SIO, I was a Research Assistant and later a short-term Postdoctoral Research Associate of the Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean (JISAO), working at NOAA/Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL). Supported by the Tropical Atmosphere Ocean (TAO) project, my research at NOAA/PMEL is about ENSO dynamics, supervised by Dr. Michael McPhaden.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Physical oceanography, ENSO dynamics, air-sea interaction, large-scale ocean circulation, ocean’s impacts on climate change, numerical modeling and data assimilation
