Every summer Argentinian bases in the Antarctic are resupplied with fuel, food and goods to last for a year. The operation is done mostly via helicopters since access to shore is often impossible. These photos were taken during a southern hemisphere summer aboard the Argentinian icebreaker Almirante Irízar.
